Troubleshooting Of The Air And Water Integrated RV Heater

- Oct 13, 2020-

●The hot water heating speed is slow. This may be due to the long-term use of the water tank, and the water quality problems cause the internal scale (the chemical composition of the scale is calcium carbonate). The common treatment method is to use alkaline substances (such as baking soda) to treat, and then clean the water tank to discharge the scale. .

●The non-energy source of hot water in the waterway is continuously replenished. The possible reason is that the drain valve is open, so close the drain valve.

●When the drain valve is opened, the water in the water tank cannot be completely drained. The drain valve at the drain port may cause blockage. Check whether there is debris in the drain port. Ice and other substances block the drain port.

●Water overflows from the drain port when closing the drain valve. This may be due to excessive water pressure causing water to overflow from the drain, then we need to check the pressure of the water pump (maximum 40.6 psi). If necessary, adjust the pump pressure. If the adjustment cannot be made, then you need to replace the pump with a new one. Sometimes the water flow is slow when we open the drain valve. It may also be caused by the low water pressure in the waterway system. The method is the same as above.

●The pressure relief valve overflows. There are two reasons. One is that the pressure in the waterway system is too high. Professional maintenance personnel install a pressure reducer at the fresh water supply. Another reason is that the pressure relief valve is blocked by scale. The pressure relief valve needs to be flushed to remove the dirt on the valve seat. Or replace the pressure relief valve, but only by qualified maintenance technicians.

If there are other conditions that cause the heating system in the RV to not work properly, you need to contact professional maintenance personnel for on-site operation and maintenance.
