How to choose gas fuel?
The gas fuels that can be used by the equipment in the RV mainly include butane, propane and liquefied petroleum gas. Butane gas may fail in winter! Because if it is below 0 degrees Celsius, butane cannot burn! Therefore, propane is generally used in winter RVs. General RV equipment uses butane and propane to have the same effect, just change the regulator. Some equipment, such as central heating systems, can only use propane gas. It is recommended that all riders can use propane gas throughout the year, which saves the trouble of changing gas back and forth. In addition, currently domestic RVs generally use a mixture of propane and butane, also called liquefied petroleum gas. It has the advantages of two kinds of gas, low price, high combustion efficiency and convenient ventilation.
How to ensure the supply of fresh water?
In winter, the temperature is low, and the external water container of the RV is easily partly frozen below zero. Therefore, we also need to install a water tank in the car so that the water pump can be transferred to this water tank.
At present, there are also a lot of riders loading water tanks in their RVs. The surface layer is made of 304 stainless steel and the inner core layer is made of polyurethane. Its advantages are non-toxicity and good insulation. It depends on whether it can be modified or not. It is best to find a professional manufacturer to do it.
How to prevent freezing of wastewater?
First of all, you can use thermal insulation materials or use low-power electric heaters or add salt to the water tank to prevent the waste water tank from freezing. You can also use a special glycol-free car antifreeze device, which can also be used to prevent the toilet from freezing. It should be noted that do not use ethylene glycol antifreeze for automobiles, which will pollute the environment and cannot be discharged into the municipal drainage system according to relevant regulations.
How to keep the RV warm?
How to heat the RV in winter is the main concern for everyone, especially in particularly cold places in Europe. Our RV heater has two heating systems: water heating and air heating. Not only can it provide warmth in the RV, it also contains a 10L water tank inside, which can provide more domestic water. Fuel can choose Diesel or LPG.
Winter RV travel tips
It is not allowed to block the vents of the motorhome to prevent hypoxia or poisoning by harmful gases.
Avoid using the heater all night, and it is recommended to use a sleeping bag or thick quilt with better heat preservation.
In winter, water vapor is easy to adhere to the interior of the motorhome. Prepare a moisture-proof agent or a portable dehumidifier.
If there is water or snow on the ground, lift and shake the power cord in time to prevent it from freezing
Clear the snow under the RV in time to ensure that the vents and equipment flue are not blocked.
Some motorhomes usually have excellent heating systems, such as floor heating, which are very suitable for winter travel.
If you use gas heating equipment, make sure you bring enough fire extinguishers.
Regularly check the moving parts on the RV, such as the stabilizer, the riding wheel and the handbrake, to prevent jams.
When parked, keep the motorhome in a horizontal position and disengage the hand brake to prevent the brake from jamming.
