Gas heating system is the mainstream in all parts of the world, and it is most commonly used in trailers and self-propelled RVs. Taking advantage of the fact that the existing stoves, ovens and refrigerators in the car are usually operated with gas, the existing gas system is utilized to provide a simple, practical and efficient heating solution.
The diesel heater uses fuel from the vehicle's own fuel tank. In the heating process, you can rely on your own diesel fuel instead of relying on the camp’s electricity network. In addition, the diesel heater saves space in the gas tank and can carry fewer gas cylinders.
Electric heaters-electric oil heaters and electric heaters can also be applied to self-propelled and towed RVs, and the required energy can be obtained only when the vehicle is connected to a power source. Pure on-board operation is unrealistic: usually electric heating consumes up to 2 kilowatts, and even the strongest on-board battery system cannot last too long.
For electric heating, consider electric heating pads or curtain heating foils whose temperature is controlled at about 30°C, using 12V or 220V voltage to work, and simply place them on the floor. Therefore, electric heating is not an ideal heating method in RVs, but they can provide rapid local heating.

Air heating heaters use diesel to generate heat and can provide a constant temperature. Due to their compact design, these heaters can be installed in all types of vehicles.
Air heating heaters are widely used in the cabs of commercial trucks and have mature technology. But the small disadvantages that should not be ignored: the irritating exhaust gas after diesel combustion will inevitably enter the car (exhaust under the chassis) or affect the neighbors. Water heaters have the same principles as central heating. Integrated with the coolant of the motorhome engine in the same pipeline or a separate water heater, they not only keep the vehicle warm on cold days, but also provide low-temperature start support for the engine.
The integrated engine heating is still in the form of warm air to provide heat to the motorhome, but this type of water heater is affected by driving and has different output levels and sizes. If the static heat exchanger is used alone after parking, in order to obtain the ideal hot water and warm air heat distribution in the cold winter, a high-power heater, such as 12kw or more, has to be used.
In an independent gas energy water heating system, the high-temperature antifreeze in the heater circulates in the pipeline and releases heat through the heat sink, thus ensuring uniform heating in the self-propelled and towed vehicles.
According to this principle, it is easy to achieve floor heating in a motorhome. With a special safety anti-collision induction pressure reducing valve installed on the gas cylinder, the gas heater can also work normally when driving. This is a very wise investment for everyone who likes winter travel.
Combination of warm air and water heater
The combination of heating air and hot water integrated equipment can simultaneously heat air and water (such as shower or kitchen water). As there are multiple control options, the heater can be turned off during summer operation, and the hot water mode can be activated separately after the built-in water tank is filled with water. The combined heating system of warm air and hot water combines the advantages of air heating and water heating.
