How is your RV heating system?

The winter is cold, especially in high latitudes. The emergence and development of various heating equipment allows the RV to have a very comfortable room temperature and long-term heat preservation, making winter camping possible. But do you know what types of RV heating systems are available?


If divided according to the heating method, it can be divided into three types:


1. Air parking heater

Air parking heaters use diesel to generate heat and can provide a constant temperature. Due to their compact design, these heaters can be installed in all types of vehicles.


Air parking heaters are widely used in the cabs of commercial trucks and have mature technology. But the small disadvantages that should not be ignored: the irritating exhaust gas after diesel combustion will inevitably enter the car (exhaust under the chassis) or affect the neighbors. 2. Water parking heater


The principle of water parking heaters is similar to that of central heating in northern homes. The water heaters that integrate the coolant of the motorhome engine in the same pipeline or separate pipelines not only keep the vehicle warm on cold days, but also provide support for the engine's low temperature start.


The heating of the integrated engine still provides heat to the motorhome in the form of warm air, but this kind of heater is affected by the driving and has different output levels and sizes. If the static heat exchanger is used alone after parking, in order to obtain the ideal hot water and warm air heat distribution in the cold winter, it is necessary to use a high-power heater, such as 16kw or more.

3. Combination of warm air and hot water


The combination of heating air and hot water integrated heater can simultaneously heat air and water (for example, water for shower or kitchen). As there are multiple control options, the heater can be turned off during summer operation, and the hot water mode can be activated separately after the built-in water tank is filled with water. The combined heating system of warm air and hot water combines the advantages of air heating and water heating.

From the application of the T-type chassis to the RV in the 1920s, the history of the RV has reached 100 years. Today, the RV heating system has developed more and more mature and more professional, no matter how the appearance of the RV changes, keeping the RV travel warm and more comfortable is still an eternal theme.
